Thai Muang Beach in Phang Nga
Province: 20 minutes north of Phuket
A long beautiful white-powder beach
runs the coastline in the area of Thai Muang community
in Phang Nga Province - roughly equal distance between
Phuket and Khao Lak.
The area will so be home to the six
star Thai Muang Beach Golf Club and Marina that is
currently being developed where the old Thai Muang golf
course was located.
A great area for a day at the beach -
the beachfront road has a good assortment of Thai
restaurants shaded by large trees. Great food at
local prices.
Even during high season in the tourist
areas, the Thai Muang Beach area is uncrowded and
peaceful. A good place to get a feel for the real
Thailand - unencumbered by the touts and tuk tuk drivers
for Phuket.
Thai Muang Beach is about two
kilometers from the center of Thai Muang Town. The
beach area itself runs for many kilometers - the photo
above is the Thai Muang Golf Course area (before the
rebuilding started).

approach this intersection - and at the intersection -
that will help you find your way.
